Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains the general approach for branch purchases, reservations, layby, alterations and customer support. It is written for the current website model, where the site is used for brand discovery and enquiries rather than direct online checkout.
1. Current website model
This website does not currently process online checkout. Purchases, reservations, layby, alterations, collections and returns are managed directly through Bold and Beautiful branches or authorised representatives.
2. Statutory consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable South African consumer law. If a garment or item is defective, unsafe, materially different from what was represented, or does not meet legally required standards, Bold and Beautiful will assess the matter and provide the remedy required by law.
3. Change-of-mind returns
- Change-of-mind returns or exchanges are not automatic and may be handled at branch discretion.
- Where accepted, items must normally be unused, unworn, unaltered, unwashed, in original saleable condition, with tags attached and accompanied by proof of purchase.
- Bridal wear, special occasion wear, altered garments, made-to-measure items, reserved items, sale items, jewellery, hair accessories and hygiene-sensitive items may be excluded from change-of-mind returns unless required by law.
4. Defective or incorrect items
If you believe an item is defective or incorrect, contact the branch as soon as possible and keep the item, tags, receipt and packaging available for assessment. Please do not continue wearing, altering, washing or damaging the item after discovering a possible fault.
5. Alterations and customised garments
- Alterations, fittings and custom work must be checked and approved by the customer before collection wherever possible.
- Once a garment has been altered, customised, made-to-measure or approved after fitting, cancellation or return may be restricted unless the issue is a legal defect or service failure.
- Delays caused by late measurements, missed fittings, customer changes or third-party events may affect completion dates.
6. Layby, deposits and reservations
Layby and reserved garments are administered by the relevant branch. The branch must explain deposit amounts, payment schedule, expiry dates, cancellation rules and any non-refundable costs before confirmation. Customers should keep all branch receipts and written messages.
7. Cancellations
- Standard enquiries can be cancelled at any time by contacting the branch or emailing us.
- Branch orders, layby, reservations, alterations or special sourcing may be subject to cancellation limits once work has started, stock has been held or costs have been incurred.
- Where a cancellation is accepted, any refund method and timing will depend on how payment was made and the branch process.
8. Online or distance transactions
If Bold and Beautiful later enables online checkout or distance selling, the applicable online transaction terms, delivery terms, cooling-off rules, exclusions and return steps will be published and applied in line with South African law.
9. How to request support
Contact the branch where the purchase, reservation or enquiry was made. Include your name, phone number, branch, receipt or proof of payment, item photos where relevant, and a clear description of the issue. You may also email salman@boldandbeautiful.co.za.
10. Fair assessment
Each refund, repair, replacement, exchange, cancellation or store-credit request will be considered on its facts, the item condition, proof of purchase, branch records and applicable law.
